Boutique Bali Vineyard Celebrates First Release

Bali is not exactly the place you would imagine stumbling upon a verdant boutique vineyard, yet thanks to a clever partnership between Balinese and Italian partners, Cantine Balita launches its first commercial rosé in March. On 10th February, a select group of the island’s hospitality insiders were treated to a five-course degustation and wine-pairing dinner, offering a sneak preview of Cantine Balita’s rosé and red wine selections at the elegant Bella Cucina, InterContinental Jimbaran’s signature Italian restaurant.

Recognized as Bali’s first vineyard to cultivate top-quality Italian grapes, incorporating the best of Italy’s wine traditions and expertise, Cantine Balita plans to align the distinctive brand with premier restaurants and hotels across the island. Based in the lush hills of Seririt in north Bali, featuring sweeping views of the ocean, consulting specialists from Italy began experimenting on the land in 2009.

Due to its stunning location and unique operation, the vineyard is currently devising a plan to expand its facilities to accommodate a wide variety of agri-tourism activities as well as open a multi-faceted showroom in Kerobokan to facilitate wine tasting events.

Approximately five test batches of rosé and three test batches of red have been produced to date in accordance with strict Italian winemaking standards.
