Four Chefs in One Evening

On the evening of 7th October, The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali hosted a unique culinary event filled with flavour and flair. Sponsored by Maybank and Hunter Motorcycles Australia, the Master Chefs Dinner brought together four talented chefs to create a set menu dinner to remember.

First in line was Ben Bullock, a former MasterChef Australia 2017 contestant and a lawyer who cooks to channel his creativity. To start off the evening, Ben served Bedugul beetroot with labneh and toasted walnut. The main dishes were courtesy of Westin’s own Italian Chef de Cuisine Alessandro Molini and famed chef Juna Rorimpandey from MasterChef Indonesia and Hell’s Kitchen Indonesia fame. A delicious red snapper dish with three cheeses, torched vegetables and saffron-lemongrass sauce came from Juna, while Alex prepared Cornish hen betutu-style ballotine, with Balinese ground provisions and rempeyek crumble. Last but not least was Ben Ungermann, the favourite runner-up of MasterChef Australia 2017, who served cardamom coffee ice cream, pumpkin three way and speculaas.

The most unique thing about the event was that the chefs, along with the team, prepared their dishes on a long table on the stage, so that the diners could watch and enjoy the chefs’ stories too. The dinner also featured pre-dinner cocktail reception, live entertainment, a chef jacket auction and lucky draw with great prizes.
