The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Pacific Place has presented a gastronomic journey of discovery, the Wine & Dine Series, at Pacific Restaurant and Lounge, introducing extraordinary vintage wines from around the world. The Wine & Dine Series paired some of the restaurant’s finest selections with exquisite cuisine made by the culinary team led by Executive Chef Sean Macdougall. Guests had the opportunity to mingle with and learn from guest speaker Michele Négrier.
This year, to start the unique series, Pacific Restaurant gave attendees an opportunity to taste wines from a legendary winemaker with a five-course paired dinner on 28th January. The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Pacific Place collaborated with Domaines Barons de Rothschild, which has produced renowned wines in France for centuries. At the dinner, the Domaines Barons de Rothschild highlights included Château Lafite Rothschild, Légende Pauillac, Légende Bordeaux Blanc and Légende Bordeaux Rouge. Chef Sean Macdougall paired the wines with Hokkaido scallops, duck confit agnolotti, wagyu beef, camembert and truffle honey and a dark chocolate cherry finale. www.lafite.com
