After two consecutive years of online show only, Jakarta Fashion Week physically returned for the capital’s fashion enthusiasts at Pondok Indah Mall III from 24-30 October 2022. The hopeful theme was in line with its vision for the year: Fashion Reformation.

“Fashion Reformation is more than just a theme; it is something that we actually practice. JFW 2023 itself is clear evidence of that. After holding fully online events during the pandemic, JFW 2023 is now held offline with a stronger online presence than before,” expressed Svida Alisjahbana, Chairman of Jakarta Fashion Week and CEO of GCM Group.

Celebrating the diversity of Indonesian talents and their vast potential in consistent creativity, at least 116 national and international fashion design labels were showcased.

JFW 2023 also provided a platform for new talents through the Menswear Fashion Design Competition, Accessory Design Competition, and Fashion Force Awards. Moreover, Dewi Fashion Knights, typically held in a single segment as a closing event, was held in two different segments. The first, subtitled Fashion Mutation showcased a luxe ready-to-wear collection from Peggy Hartanto, Sean Sheila, and Aidan & Ice, while the second, named Future Couture, presented the haute couture collections from Yogie Pratama, Stella Risa, and Rinaldy Yunardi.

For the first time, the event was extensively broadcast through multiple channels, namely JFW.TV, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Vidio.com, and MAXStream. Meanwhile, the renowned mall’s events hub, City Hall, transformed into the main venue, offering interesting experiences for visitors, including a fashion installation and VIP Lounge from the Indonesian Society of Interior Designers (HDII). Further installations from HDII members could also be enjoyed at the pop-up retail space of Fashionlink on the third floor of Atrium PIM III and Dewi’s Luxe Market in Ground Floor PIM III.
