Ping Pong 129

When it first opened its doors in March 2015, Ping Pong 129 was the first Spanish gin and tonic bar to set up shop in not only Hong Kong, but in all of Asia Pacific. This Gintonería, as the Spanish call it, mixes influences from Spanish Mediterranean regions and Hong Kong, revisiting the traditional district of Sai Ying Pun. This bar has kept alive the history of its location and the character of its neighbourhood through the preservation of the former Ping Pong city sign at the entrance, as well as the stairs to access the main room. Patrons still request ping pong equipment; however, despite the name, this bar has been completely converted from its former function as a training centre.

Keep your eyes open for special events through its DNA program, which focuses on three areas; live classical and experimental music, art exhibitions and finally gastronomic events through dinners with several international restaurants and chefs with Michelin-star accolades.
