Samujana’s Commitment to Cleanliness

The lavish resort in Koh Samui practices new standards of hygiene with dedicated service and state-of-the-art technology.

Samujana, a luxurious villa that boasts complete privacy and utter opulence in Koh Samui, Thailand, has responded and adjusted to the current challenging global situation, providing a blueprint for hoteliers around the world. Samujana’s commitment to cleanliness plays hand-in-hand with the reopening of Koh Samui Airport on 15 May and Bangkok Airways’ efficient precautionary measures to ensure a safe and hygienic travel experience.

Samujana’s commitment to cleanliness includes mandatory temperature checks for all the staff and guests checking in or entering the resort. While masks are mandatory for the staff, they are also provided for guests – in addition to hand sanitiser – in all villas and in the private villa’s common areas; the staff also wear gloves when servicing the villas. The resort has also appointed a new Health and Hygiene Manager, who is responsible for supervising and implementing the cleanliness commitment.

The property’s comprehensive steps to implement its commitment to cleanliness have been made in collaboration with Hong Kong’s Portier Techonologies, a guest-facing technology provider that supports social distancing with its Portier Phones, which facilitate contactless service from staff for guests. This single source contact means guests can stay in close touch with their villa hosts for anything from requesting help to accessing on-site services without the physical proximity.

The Portier Platform also successfully combines all printed materials, information about the property, staff engagement, destination-related information, telephone needs and more in a single piece of technology. By focusing on one digital platform, the Portier Platform removes unnecessary physical inventory, allowing Samujana to go fully digital.

Guests can also carry the Portier Phones off property, so that they can explore the island with the assistance of the staff. The staff also create and manage content to help promote best practices and recommend safety measures for guests.
