We love a good gathering, especially one organized by one of Bali’s leading luxury hotels. The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali hosted its annual Appreciation Gathering on 28th November in the ballroom of Le Meridien Hotel in Jakarta. More than 250 of the Resort’s friends, media partners and business associates from Jakarta and Bali were greeted and treated to a lively evening of flowing drinks, creative canapés and a delicious buffet dinner.
The evening began with a soulful performance by 2014 Indonesian Idol winner and the nation’s sensation, Nowela Elizabeth Auparay, who had us under her spell with her impressive vocals from the start.
The highlight of the event was a charity auction of the Resort’s acclaimed Heavenly Bed, with all proceeds donated to Yayasan Dana Punia, a non-profit foundation that cares for impoverished children in Singaraja, north Bali.
We posed for fun snapshots in the photo booth, made new friends, caught up with familiar faces and reconnected with Bipan Kapur, the Resort’s charming Managing Director, and his wonderful sales and marketing team. We left a little greener with a freshly potted plant symbolizing our growing relationship with The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali.
Inspired by an ancient Balinese legend about a dragon and his beloved pearl, the Naga has long been a symbol of eternal love, prosperity and protection. A recurring theme amongst John Hardy signature designs since 2008, the new Naga Collection elevates the status of this mythical creature with the naturally lush golden hues of Lombok’s rare pearls. The collection will be sold exclusively at John Hardy’s Asia flagship boutique at The Mulia, Mulia Resort & Villas in Bali.
