To create lasting memories for its diners, Pullman Jakarta Central Park has recently appointed Gaurav Malhotra as its new executive chef for the property.
Hailing from India, Gaurav is no stranger to the culinary scene and the world of Accor Hotels. After honing his skills for 11 years across Europe and Asia, Gaurav finally decided to bring his knowledge to Indonesia and share his creations with local gourmands.
Previously working as the executive chef at Novotel in Hyderabad, the self-taught chef has recorded numerous achievements throughout his career. In 2017, he won Rising Chef of The Year at Yes Chef Conclave, while the year after, he won Chef of the Year in Accor Hotels India Awards. Not only a mastermind in the kitchen, Gaurav also developed a hydroponic farming system to help save costs for the property.
In his new position in Jakarta, Gaurav is responsible for creating signature dishes that will elevate the dining experience. Further, he will also oversee day-to-day culinary offerings in both dining venues, as well as banquet operations, which includes weddings, gatherings and corporate meetings.
