TIRTHA BRIDAL RENEWS ITS VOWS
Set high upon the cliff tops of Uluwatu in southern Bali, with panoramic views across the Indian Ocean, Tirtha Bridal is the ultimate wedding location and the pioneer of bespoke weddings in Bali. Japanese husband-and-wife team Koji and Yuka Koreyasu founded Tirtha Bridal in 1998 as a unique one-stop, double wedding destination with two stunning venues catering to an exclusive ensemble of bridal couples: Tirtha Uluwatu, an exceptional, 6,000 sq.m. resort surrounded by Balinese gardens and water features, and Tirtha Luhur, with an exclusive three-bedroom luxury private villa and wedding pavilion, indoor-outdoor dining (Tirtha Dining), pool, bar and relaxation gazebo, set on 3,000 sq.m. of landscaped gardens. Bespoke services and facilities include an exclusive on-site Bridal Boutique, while both venues are architectural masterpieces, internationally acclaimed for their visionary design and unparalleled wedding ceremony and reception concepts.
Not content to rest on their laurels, however, Bali’s wedding industry couple, the Koreyasus, felt it was high time to revamp this heavenly property and add new features, besides enhancing a truly magical experience for each couple’s extraordinary wedding day celebrations. Thus, a full renovation project is currently underway, taking place in different stages through 2015 and beyond under the guidance of renowned architect Glenn Parker – the original mastermind of Tirtha Bridal.
Some elements have already been completed, including a glass deck on the edge of the garden cliff, which now enhances the classic sunset wedding experience and affords magnificent ocean views underfoot – and breathtaking photographic opportunities. Adjoining the garden lawns, this area now accommodates around 80 guests for an intimate ceremony. A timbered lounge deck extension, adjacent to the chic main lounge and surrounded by stunning water features and pools, has also been launched. Combined, this dining space caters to up to 70 guests – perfect for timelessly elegant sit-down dinners. From December 2015 and extending into the second quarter of 2016, special focus will be placed on renovating Tirtha’s dining areas and the remainder of the resort. Throughout the renovation process, Tirtha Bridal will continue to take wedding bookings and operate as normal. The entire project is planned in such a way as to not disturb any operational activities.
“By improving our design, we offer couples the most exclusive options and a stylish flair to make their event unique, exquisite and magically memorable,” declares Yuka Koreyasu.
