Named in last year’s awards as one of the best brunches in the world by Conde Nast Traveller, it would have been easy for Executive Chef Daine Gilbert and his exceptional kitchen team to sit back and bask in the accolades for a year or two.
But they haven’t and, in line with the Sofitel’s concept of trend-setting and eager to once again be seen as the weekend brunch standard, the team has just launched its revamped and restyled Weekend Chic Brunch buffet extravaganza at Cut Catch Cucina (CCC), the resort’s luxurious award-winning poolside venue.
The Weekend Chic Brunch is an exploration of international cuisine and takes diners on an expedition from Bordeaux to Bali calling in at just about every other gastronomic stop on the way. Fabulous cold cuts, the freshest oysters, grilled meats and fish, salads and cheeses and sushi grapple for your attention.
The French influence remains a core element with a host of classic French dishes to tempt; and add to that roast lamb, honey roast ham, beef or salmon Wellington and Bali’s famous suckling pig and much more. For the kids there’s pizza and a chip station and a stunning dessert and sweet selection. On first impression, one feels the CCC weekend brunch has again set the standard.
The restaurant itself, just a short walk from the gorgeous hotel lobby, is comfortable and airy and ideally suited to relaxed family dining. The food stations are designed to help create separate but expansive dining spaces that can easily accommodate large groups, couples or family groups as required. The plush contemporary design and seating extends outside, where guests can dine alongside the pool.
The Weekend Chic Brunch is available at CCC on Saturday and Sunday from 11AM to 3PM and is priced from only IDR499,000++ per person, which includes a range of soft drinks. Kids under 12 years of age eat free. There is also a choice of two alcohol packages and the price includes pool access – so don’t forget your swimming gear!
