A Truly Fun Destination

Having been named Indonesia’s Leading Theme Park for 2014/2015, making it five years in a row, the Bali Safari & Marine Park offers visitors wonderful adventure, both day and night.

Located in Gianyar, the Bali Safari & Marine Park is home to more than 60 animal species, such as orangutans, zebras, rhinos and big cats. Comprising a massive 40-hectare site, the park features an open setting in which guests can observe a large range of animals closely and experience Balinese culture. Just take the safari tram, equipped with air conditioner, for a guided trip and get ready to see the animals in their natural environment. To capture the beautiful animals on camera, regular stops with several excellent subjects are available, including the popular Tsavo lions.

Where to start and what animals to see first is totally up to the visitors. The bustling freshwater aquarium, for example, has more than 40 individual fish species. Here, guests can see a giant 3-metre arapaima and the piranha feeding frenzies at 10.30AM and 4PM. Those who cannot wait to meet with white tigers and reptiles should head to Ranthambore, a spectacular recreation of the ruins of an ancient Indian fort from the city of Rajashtan. Separated only by large glass viewing panels, visitors will be able to get up close with these unbelievably beautiful creatures.

Meanwhile, over at Kampung Gajah, the Elephant Village, retired working elephants are eager to meet and welcome visitors. Visitors will have the opportunity to observe how the noble beasts feed and bathe as well as taking an elephant-back safari trek.

What is also exciting to see is the Balinese culture fused with animal education, conservation and welfare – a great experience for both kids and adults! In addition, there are many attractions that are suitable for kids of all ages at the park, such as a flume ride, a spinning coaster and a merry-go-round. Or try the Water Park with its seven water slides!

You need not worry if you feel hungry after going around the park, meeting the animals, learning the local culture and taking all the rides, as you can dine at either the Tsavo Lions Restaurant that overlooks the lion feeding area, or the Uma Restaurant.

After the tummy is satisfied, why not enjoy more fun that is provided by the Bali Safari & Marine Park? Take in the afternoon’s spectacular Bali Agung Show played at the magnificent Bali Theatre, a very impressive stage area with a seating capacity for 1,200 people. Visitors can enjoy the shows at either 2.30PM or 3.30PM daily (except Mondays).

For guests who want to stay over at the park, on-site accommodations are provided. Offering an excellent range of rooms, suites and family bungalows nestled within the heart of the marvelous Bali Safari & Marine Park, it is indeed a truly fun destination for a family getaway.
