The Essence of Bali

Bask in luxury while soaking up nature in this gorgeous rural destination.

As you take the winding drive past the Balinese temple and through the verdant gardens towards the lobby of Maya Resort Ubud, you can feel your stress and cares falling away. City life is left far behind.

The welcome is warm and smiles abound; and as you take in your elegant surroundings, you truly feel relaxed. The spirit and culture of Bali are fully embraced in this resort. The Balinese architecture and décor are distinctive, while at the same time, modern facilities provide all the convenience that guests require.

Through the lobby’s pavilion, the resort opens out across a wide expanse of manicured tropical gardens overlooking the rainforest. The villas are dotted along either side of the lawns, with those on one side looking out over the river valley and the swirling Petanu River down below, while on the other side, the views are of swathes of working rice fields.

Everywhere in this thoughtfully presented resort, nature is brought to the fore. The main pool, with its wooden decking and sun loungers, seemingly hangs over the river valley and is surrounded by the forest, making it a beautiful place to laze away the day. Each of the restaurants is semi-open air, making the most of the views, the scent of the trees and flowers, as well as the fresh air. The chefs are keen to promote regional cuisine, fresh ingredients and create imaginative, tasty dishes from across the world.

The villas are the epitome of Balinese luxury, with traditional wooden doors opening onto winding pathways down to the living area. For the ultimate in comfort and luxury, try either the duplex pool villa for two-storey luxury living with a whirlpool and private lap pool, or the Petanu Presidential Villa with its large master bedroom and separate guest villa with twin beds.

The duplex pool villa has the bedroom, pool, whirlpool and pool terrace on the lower level where the towering rainforest provides complete privacy, while the upper level living room and balcony offer stunning views across the river valley.

Villa Interior

The presidential villa, meanwhile, has a large open-air living and dining space and showcases the creativity of Balinese artisans, establishing a unique environment of understated luxury and quiet elegance.

There is a wide range of cultural and pampering activities, including yoga, an excellent spa amid the rainforest, Balinese cooking classes, nature treks, a fully equipped gym and tennis court.

The inspired service and verdant surroundings give Maya Resort Ubud the ultimate atmosphere for relaxation, refreshment and renewal.
