Q: Can you summarise your journey so far in the hospitality industry?
A: My journey in the hospitality industry has been incredibly rewarding and diverse. I started my career in the marketing communications field with Hilton brands in Indonesia, where I gained invaluable experience in crafting communication strategies. Over the years, I progressed to roles of increasing responsibility, eventually serving as the director of marketing communications. After more than a decade, I moved to another group, and is currently the complex director of marketing communications for Pan Pacific, PARKROYAL Hotel and PARKROYAL Serviced Suites Jakarta.

Q: What are your responsibilities?
A: As the complex director of marketing communications for three new properties, the focus is to set the hotel openings by developing and implementing integrated marketing communication strategies to drive brand awareness, enhance brand reputation and drive revenue across multiple properties. I collaborate closely with the sales, revenue and operational teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives and market trends. Additionally, I oversee public relations, digital marketing, advertising, branding and social media initiatives to ensure cohesive and impactful messaging across all channels.

Q: The most important trait to have in your work?
A: In my line of work, I believe the most important trait to have is adaptability. The hospitality industry is dynamic and constantly evolving, presenting new challenges and opportunities daily. Being adaptable allows me to navigate change, embrace innovation and respond effectively to shifting market dynamics and guest expectations. 

Q: Name one special thing about your property.
A: One truly exceptional aspect of our property is the historic moment it represents for the Pan Pacific Hotel Group in Jakarta. This year marks a significant milestone as we reintroduce the brand to Jakarta, unveiling not just one, but three distinct properties with remarkably close opening times. This confluence of openings symbolises a new era of hospitality excellence, offering our guests a diverse array of options to fulfil their every need and occasion. From luxurious accommodations to exquisite restaurants, each property embodies the hallmark standards of Pan Pacific hospitality, promising unforgettable experiences for our discerning guests.

Q: Tell us one thing about yourself that not many people know.
I’m not a coffee person, but I do enjoy the smell of it. When I do have coffee, it’s always just a half shot or even less. What draws me to coffee isn’t just the taste, but rather the aromatic experience. The rich, inviting scent of freshly brewed coffee has a calming effect on me, serving as a source of relaxation and comfort in my daily routine.
