Sophisticated and stylish and found on the first floor of The St. Regis Singapore, the Astor Bar – named after John Jacob Astor IV, who founded the St. Regis way back in 1904 – is not only home to around 50 magnificent cocktails, including the signature Chilli Padi Mary a local interpretation of Fernand Petiot’s famous King Cole Bar Bloody Mary, but also features a host of premium spirits, wines and champagnes available by the glass and an impressive selection of carefully curated rare whiskies, such as the outstanding Port Ellen 27yo from Signatory Village.
Billed as a venue for the influential, the bar is plush and the service exemplary; it also serves up some excellent food. Open from noon until 2AM there’s Jazz in the City every evening from 6PM and the famous St. Regis Champagne Hour starts at 6.30PM to help you relax and unwind.
