Bali Deli Gourmet Supermarket and Restaurant

MORE THAN A MARKET

BALI DELI IS NOT ONLY THE ISLAND’S PREMIER SOURCE OF GOURMET IMPORTED GOODS, IT ALSO SERVES UP A WIDE VARIETY OF DELIGHTFUL DISHES AT ITS RESTAURANTS AND CAFES, OR IN YOUR PRIVATE RESIDENCE THANKS TO THEIR MUCH IN-DEMAND CATERING AND DELIVERY SERVICES

Bali is awash in excellent eateries serving up all manner of international cuisine, everything from Mexican to Moroccan and more. But expats living on the Island of the Gods can’t go out to eat every night, and like some visitors who book accommodations with full sized kitchens, they want to be able to cook up the kind of feast they did back home. Not so long ago, that would have been quite difficult, as getting high-quality imported groceries in Bali was fairly hit-or-miss.

Nowadays, visitors and expats in Bali who are looking for their favourite foodstuffs need look no further than Bali Deli. The growing chain of boutique supermarkets, which can be found in Seminyak,  Sanur and Kuta’s Beachwalk shopping center, stock high quality imported delicatessen products from Europe, Australia, USA and Asia such as cheeses, meats, vegetables, confectionery, cereals, sauces, wines and other products that are difficult to buy in Indonesia.  With an extensive array of goodies totalling over 12,000 different items in stock, Bali Deli has become the first choice for discerning grocery shoppers on the island.

In addition to all of their imported goods, Bali Deli is also known for whipping up some fine food products themselves. Each of the locations features an in-house bakery that makes fresh baked goods like bread, croissants and pastries daily. Bali Deli’s bakery is especially well known for sweet treats like their Bakewell tart, chocolate mousse cake, bittersweet chocolate dome, mille feuille and carrot cake, all of which are to die for.

You can also dine all day at the attached restaurants in their Seminyak and Sanur locations, which are always popular thanks to the varied menus full of dishes that take full advantage of all the fresh produce at their disposal. Tempting choices include Balinese mixed rice, salmon fish head soup, smoked duck breast salad, ala minute sushi and sashimi as well as custom sandwiches   Their breakfasts are especially famous, as is the strong, flavourful coffee they serve up with them. They also have a wide selection of healthy juice mixes such as the After Travel Booster featuring kiwi, guava and pineapple.

The Seminyak restaurant features a cozy atmosphere, indoor and outdoor seating as well as fun regular events like Salsa and Latin Nite on Saturdays and Jazz Nite on Wednesdays and Fridays. The Sanur Bali Deli, opened just about one year ago, features a casual cafe on the ground floor and a more refined restaurant on the 3rd floor, which has its own Salsa and Latin Nite on Thursdays. The Sanur location also has an open air event space on its 4th floor which is perfect for functions or parties.

If you feel like throwing a party at home, you can call upon Bali Deli and have their catering team create a feast for you and your friends. All of the items from their extensive catering menu are created at the onsite kitchens in each Bali Deli. They also have a delivery service from which you can order dishes off their restaurant menus as well as bakery and pastry items. So whatever your food needs may be, Bali Deli is ready to satisfy.
