The brainchild of co-founder and chef Yulius Novin, an alumnus of Le Cordon Bleu Sydney who has had stints in some of Sydney’s top restaurants and one of Jakarta’s biggest F&B companies, the restaurant uses locally sourced ingredients, alongside imported specialties such as gooseberries and figs, to create an eclectic mix of dishes inspired by Yulius’ travels. Sit down for a relaxed Balinese-inspired starter of Bebek Betutu Tacos with a spicy duck filling to excite your taste buds, or tuck into the Grain Salad if you’re looking for a healthier start as it boasts a lively party of pomegranate, ricotta and raspberry vinaigrette. For the main course, the Pumpkin Gnocchi with confit pumpkin, ricotta and candied walnut is a great choice, as is the Crispy Pork Belly served with pear slaw and gooseberry.
Whatever dish you opt for, wash it down with a cocktail from the impressive selection, such as a Thyme for Yuzu or Purple Rain, or maybe sweeten it up with the signature dessert, Bolu Tape? You’ll be happy either way.
