Kenya

There are endless things to do when visiting Kenya. While safari adventures are a big attraction, take a trip to northern Kenya and visit Samburu Game Reserve where you get to see the Samburu big five, namely Beisa onyx, Grevy’s zebra, long-necked gerenuk, reticulated giraffe and Somali ostrich. For a real experience, stay in one of the safari lodges or tented camps that are scattered around. Finch Hattons Luxury Tented Camp is located in Kenya’s oldest and largest park, Tsavo West National Park, which is home to 12,000 animal species.

The Kenyans are mostly carnivores and a favourite food is nyama choma, or barbecued meat. In Nairobi, Talisman is the go-to for locals and has been around for some time, while for refined palates, Ol Donyo is a luxury bungalow with a restaurant overlooking the majestic view of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Every traveller has a choice of place to stay when visiting Kenya. If you’re on a budget, Wildebeest Eco Camp in Nairobi offers the same luxury camp experience without breaking the bank.
