Powerful Indonesia at The Apurva Kempinski Bali

Welcoming the new year, the majestic resort launches new monthly programmes to promote the powerful aspects of Indonesia through collaborations specially curated for its guests.

Standing tall above a cliff in Nusa Dua, The Apurva Kempinski Bali is staying true to its roots, which is to promote the rich diversity of Indonesia to its guests. In doing so, since it opened, the Indonesian-inspired resort has been showcasing the beauty of the archipelago through dining, holistic spa treatments, fun family activities and craftsmanship exhibitions.

Following the success of last year’s charming campaign, the resort is starting the new year by launching a new campaign of Powerful Indonesia. This year-long campaign encompasses 12 curated monthly themes, focusing in partnership with people across disciplines, cultural-diversity guest experiences, an empowerment programme with educational institutions, sustainable activations and a development platform for people with disabilities.

Highlighting seven of Indonesia’s main regions of Sumatra, Java, Nusa Tenggara, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku and Papua, the resort entices its guests with an exploration of heritage ranging from holistic treatments, culinary diversity, craftsmanship and traditional games. Meanwhile, to leave a memorable remark for its guests, The Apurva Kempinski Bali will also do special crossover collaborations with highly acclaimed personals to bring Powerful Indonesia to life. These include an art and craftsmanship initiative with Dr Oei Hong Djien, Raul Renada, and Stephane Sensey; a sustainability movement with Dr Lawrence Blair, Ari Bayu Aji, Gus Agung Gunarthawa and Helianti Hilman; and a musical programme with Raul Renada, Aksan Sjuman, Anom Darsana and Astrid Sulaiman.

In line with the resort’s sustainability goals, the resort has also developed strong collaborations with the local communities and institutions that need support and sustenance. Furthermore, the resort is also partnering with Difalink to help develop youths with disabilities and builds a strong and inclusive work team.

“Indonesia is one of the most diverse and colourful countries in the world, and I have called this beautiful country home for the past 16 years. This nation is beyond wonderful. Its heritage, natural landscapes, cultural identities, inspirational sound and music, holistic wellness, culinary diversity, dynamic sports and passionate people bring out the powerful side of Indonesia. We are extremely excited to invite everyone to explore these unique experiences themselves, here at The Apurva Kempinski Bali,” noted Vincent Guironnet, the general manager of The Apurva Kempinski Bali.
