Breathe Together at ARYADUTA Menteng

A morning of movement and mindfulness unfolded at ARYADUTA Menteng, where the 10th International Day of Yoga brought together over 180 guests to celebrate wellness, unity and cultural exchange.

On a quiet Saturday morning in the heart of Jakarta, more than 180 guests gathered at ARYADUTA Menteng to celebrate the 10th International Day of Yoga. Organised by the Embassy of India to Indonesia, this year’s theme, Yoga for One Earth, One Health, resonated with the warm, thoughtful energy throughout the event.

The presence of distinguished guests, including the Indian Ambassador to Indonesia, His Excellency Sandeep Chakravorty and Mikha Tambayong, representing the Minister of Youth and Sports, set the tone for a morning celebrating physical wellbeing and cultural connection. Mikha remarked on yoga’s growing role in promoting balance in today’s fast-paced world while highlighting its power to strengthen international relations.

The main yoga session unfolded peacefully and carefully to encourage focus and ease. With sunlight filtering in and mats laid out in neat rows, participants followed the guidance of experienced instructors through gentle poses and steady breathing. The atmosphere was light yet grounded, inviting beginners to seasoned practitioners to move at their rhythm.

What stood out, beyond the practice itself, was the care put into every
element of the event. ARYADUTA Menteng, known for its central location and welcoming hospitality, provided more than just a venue. The staff moved with quiet efficiency, offering warm greetings, guiding guests and ensuring everyone felt at ease. A specially prepared ARYADUTA Detox welcome drink added a thoughtful touch, while post-session refreshments and amenities offered comfort and hydration.

General Manager Fajar Sukarno shared his thoughts on the event, noting how the day’s spirit was perfectly reflected in the harmony between wellness and hospitality. It was not about luxury but presence, the sense that everyone in the room was given space to breathe, move and reconnect.

For a few hours, the busy capital paused. In its place was a shared moment of stillness, led by yoga and supported by a setting that understood the importance of slowing down, even just for a morning.
