Savouring The World of Flavours

Sate Diponegoro

A newcomer in Bandung’s ever-growing culinary market, Sadrasa Kitchen & Bar serves eclectic offerings.

Situated within the lobby area of Pullman Bandung Grand Central, the latest five-star luxury hotel found right in the city centre, Sadrasa Kitchen & Bar is an all-day dining destination ready to tantalise every taste bud. Serving a wide selection of tempting dishes from breakfast until late at night, the restaurant is the perfect spot to relax while admiring the gorgeous views outside.

Inspired by the Sanskrit word that translates to six flavours, Sadrasa Kitchen & Bar is helmed by the hotel’s Director of Culinary, Ian Lovie, a veteran of the hospitality industry with decades of experience working in luxury hotels around the world. Born in Edinburgh, he is no stranger to the culinary scene in Asia having lived on the continent for the past 13 years.

Upon entering the restaurant, guests are greeted with ample seating surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows. Divided into three areas – the bar, the main dining room and the outside area where diners can enjoy the city’s cooler breeze – the restaurant is home to a world of flavours, from traditional Sundanese cuisine to all-time Indonesian favourites and international classics.

For an appetising start, diners eating at the restaurant are offered three different homemade sambals with kerupuk, or crackers, while browsing the menu. One of the signature dishes is Sate Diponegoro. Paying tribute to the street name where the hotel resides, this dish consists of skewered chicken, beef and lamb served with peanut sauce and rice cake. Another dish that needs to be on your radar is Bandung Colada, a meringue dome filled with freshly cut mango and mango sorbet to refresh the palate.
