The Jazzy Songstress

A bright star to watch, Miranti Yassovi Amalia – better known as Yassovi – is blessed with a great voice and singing talent. The happy-go-lucky young lady was only 24 years old when she was discovered on the 2014 Indonesian Idol talent show, mastering the musical genre of jazz with her sultry voice.

Before getting her big break, Yassovi had plenty of time and opportunities honing her skills at weddings and other events. During her audition for the popular TV talent search, musician Ahmad Dhani, who was one of the judges on the show, was so impressed that he asked her to do a duet of the song “I’m in the Mood for Love” right there and then.

Yassovi has also had the honour to perform at Java Jazz – Indonesia’s most prominent jazz event – in 2008 and 2013. Since then, Yassovi has launched a single titled “Aku Ini Punya Siapa”, a remake of the late Indonesian songstress January Christy’s 1987 hit.
