FAIRYTALE ROMANCE FOR ALL
Bali’s ultra-luxurious wedding destination has opened its doors even wider to cater to the island’s epicures with the launch of Tirtha Dining – a 40-seat destination restaurant perched atop the cliffs of Bali’s southern Uluwatu tip. Tirtha has long been known for its extravagant wedding services and bridal parties thanks to its fairytale location and breathtaking 180 degree views of the shimmering Indian Ocean, but now the magical venue also invites gourmands to experience Executive Chef Hiroyuki Meno’s French fine dining at this stunning cliff-top wonderland.
Offering a taste of Tirtha’s exclusive dining experience, guests at the launch event were greeted by a refreshing selection of mixed Fizz, Volga and Daisy before being escorted to the Tirtha Luhur pavilion. The pavilion was transformed into a charming beauty bar for the special occasion, offering complimentary beauty services such as eyelash extensions with diamonds and ravishing hair dos. Suitably primped and preened, guests stepped out of the pavilion into the cliff top garden, where silver service waiters served an extravagant variety of canapés created by Chef Meno.
The soirée took a decadent turn with exclusively designed cocktails served up by Nishioka Tatsuhide, specially flown in from Japan to mix exhilarating cocktails to pair with the sumptuous canapés. Under a blanket of glittering stars, guests were serenaded by German Dmitriev with a masterful violin performance of both classical and modern selections. The finale to the magnificent evening was embodied by a special toast with a Fairy Dust cocktail; a drink inspired from Doburoku – a Japanese, rustic and unrefined sake made of steamed rice, koji, water and yeast.
Meaning Holy Water in Balinese, Tirtha is themed around water that seamlessly extends the unrivalled oceanic vista. Diners can choose to feast inside the Japanese-style restaurant that is lavished with floor to ceiling windows, or for an extra special occasion, couples can opt for the Romantic Dinner under a singular gazebo that floats beside the cliff edge in the centre of the infinity pool.
