The Look
The BMW M4 Competition Coupé is an eye-catching track-inspired vehicle that flawlessly blends BMW sophistication with sleek looks, blistering performance and remarkable practicality.
At the front, the classic BMW kidney grill is flanked by stylised Adaptive LED headlights. The large side air inlets are seamlessly integrated into the front wing, which along with the bonnet and side panels, highlight the car’s athletic contours. The rear is dominated by the broad light cluster and the iconic throaty M sports exhaust system, with black chrome tailpipe.
The smooth carbon fibre reinforced plastic roof not only looks superb, it also reduces the overall weight and helps lower the M4’s centre of gravity significantly. Coupled with the M Star 20-inch light-alloy wheels, low-profile tyres, Adaptive M suspension and near 50-50 weight distribution, this ensures precise handling.
Inside, BMW has engineered a luxurious sporting masterpiece of plush leather and carbon fibre. Ergonomically optimised, features include the leather M steering wheel, sports style gearshift paddles, a striking instrument display, high-tech entertainment system and BMW ConnectedDrive.
The distinctive lightweight M sports seats feature width-adjustable backrests and vertical openings and provide superb support under hard driving, as well as offering exceptional comfort on long journeys.
The Performance
At the heart of the BMW M4 Competition Coupé sits the optimally tuned M TwinPower Turbo in-line 6-cylinder petrol engine. The 450BHP it produces is delivered to the rear wheels via the 7-speed M Double Clutch automatic transmission with Drivelogic, the gearshift paddles on the steering wheel and the gear lever.
Press the accelerator at any speed and the response is very impressive. From a standing start, BMW M Launch Control guarantees maximum acceleration achieving 100KPH in a stellar 4 seconds on its way to a limited 250KPH.
