Raised and trained by Amazonian warriors, the young Princess Diana (Gal Gadot) learns about the war that is threatening mankind’s very existence from American pilot Steve Taylor (Chris Pine) who crash lands on her home, the mythical island of Themyscira, in the early part of the 20th century.

Dismayed, she leaves the island and travels to the outside world for the first time to help save mankind from itself and in doing so takes the first steps in fulfilling a destiny long ago bestowed upon her by the gods, as she becomes the hero Wonder Woman.
