Better Learning with EdTech

Marriott Business Council Bali and Bali Children Foundation have come together once again to provide an array of educational benefits for children in a remote community.

An educational collaboration between Marriott Business Council Bali and Bali Children Foundation (BCF) has taken headlines, as Marriott International Indonesia continues its commitment to community empowerment initiatives with the launch of the EdTech Project. By beginning their integration of innovative educational technology, called EdTech, into four remote schools in Songan Village, the partnership looks to revolutionise education with never-before-possible personalised learning experiences for elementary school students in the more remote areas of Bali.

Schools across Songon Village were privileged to be visited by the collaboration, who first started working together in 2017 to provide a brighter future for Balinese youth. From 12 to 14 December 2023, Sekolah Dasar Negeri 2, 5, 6 and 8 in Songan Village were involved in celebrating the project’s practical debut with engaging activities such as games, quizzes educational sessions and school lunches.

Bali Children Foundation shares a dedication with Marriott Business Council Bali for empowering communities through education. The initiative in Songon Village marks a big step in positive change for local children and the landscape for their development. EdTech envisions a future with children across the village having access to quality education, with the infusion of technology, opening doors that were not before possible.

Margaret Barry, Founder of the Bali Children Foundation, had the following to say about EdTech’s contribution to education in Northern Bali;

“Marriott Business Council Bali’s unwavering support is essential in Bali Children Foundation’s vision where we ensure Bali’s remote children leave Elementary school with the full set of skills required to succeed at High school and beyond. The EdTech project also extends to provide Bahasa Indonesia courses to foster a shared national identity by addressing academic proficiency and underscores the importance of learning Bahasa Indonesia.”
