In collaboration with ZAP Premiere, Wulan Guritno launches a bold campaign encouraging women to embrace self-acceptance over perfection. Through a raw documentary and her own healing journey, she turns vulnerability into strength.
After years of being celebrated as a symbol of timeless beauty and confidence, actress Wulan Guritno returns to the spotlight for a different reason. Following public discussion surrounding her appearance in the film Norma, where her bare skin revealed acne scars and texture, Wulan responded not with denial but with calm reflection.
This mindset became the foundation of Insecurity Uncovered, a campaign launched with ZAP Premiere at Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta. During the event, Wulan symbolically removed her makeup in front of guests and media as a gesture representing self-acceptance rather than vulnerability. The initiative includes a documentary mini-series that captures Wulan’s real healing journey without scripts or filters, and a special treatment package, “Wulan’s Acne Scars Healing Series”, designed for the public to experience similar recovery.
Across five treatment sessions over five months, ZAP Premiere’s medical team combined advanced dermatological procedures such as microneedling, laser therapy, PRP serum and Sofwave. According to dr. Dara Ayuningtyas, VP Medical of ZAP Group, acne scars may never fully disappear, but they can be treated strategically and realistically. “Healing is both medical and emotional,” she explained.
The campaign also introduces a digital community, Acne Healing Circle, encouraging individuals to share experiences under the movement’s tagline, #HealingFeelsBetterTogether. For Wulan, the journey has been more than physical improvement, it is also a personal awakening.
“After five sessions, my skin improved by 70%, but more importantly, I finally feel enough,” she said.
