The Meru Sanur is set to host a dazzling prelude to one of Bali’s most anticipated cultural celebrations, the Ubud Village Jazz Festival 2025. On 30 July 2025, the resort presents Seaside Jazz Mantra—an enchanting evening of live music and world-class cuisine at the scenic Bali Beach Garden.
This exclusive affair blends the rhythm of jazz with the art of fine dining, offering guests a six-course wine-paired dinner in a seaside garden setting under the stars. The evening marks a rare culinary collaboration between Chef Melvin Chou—Head Chef at Terra Tokyo Italian, Singapore—and The Meru Sanur’s own Executive Chef Marco Medaglia.
Chef Chou, one of Asia’s youngest Michelin-starred chefs, brings a refined touch of Tokyo-Italian fusion to the table, using seasonal ingredients like Amela tomato, Hokkaido scallop, uni, wagyu brisket and white peach. Known for his precise Japanese techniques and Mediterranean boldness, his dishes promise a symphony of flavour—elegant, modern and deeply rooted in simplicity.
To accompany the feast, the Bojan Cvetković Quartet will take the stage. Helmed by the acclaimed Serbian pianist and composer, the group offers an expressive, genre-bending sound. Bojan, a major figure in Serbia’s jazz scene and curator at Belgrade’s Bluz i Pivo, has performed across the globe, from the Made in New York Jazz Festival to the United Nations Headquarters.
