A Marriott Loyalist Takes the Helm at Courtyard Seminyak

Sitting in the vibrant Seminyak area, Courtyard by Marriott Bali Seminyak Resort is welcoming a new leader at the start of the new year. Bringing over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, Christopher Smith is now the go-to man as general manager at the lively resort.

Known for his energetic personality, the Australian-born leader is no stranger to Asia. Following his stint at Sheraton Brisbane Hotel, he moved to Hong Kong in 2008, working as a chef de cuisine at JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong and Singapore Marriott Hotel as an executive sous-chef. He became the executive chef at The Stones Hotel, Autograph Collection, Legian Bali in 2012 and worked on the pre-opening team. Since then, he has made this small island his second home.

A celebrated leader on and off the property, Smith is sure to bring something new to Courtyard Seminyak. His leadership promises to elevate the guest experience and reinforce the resort as the premier destination for both leisure and business travellers.
