BAIC Opens Its First City Store in Jakarta!

BAIC strengthened its presence in Indonesia by launching its first city store at Gandaria City Mall. The space combines interactive features, digital convenience and urban accessibility to offer a fresh take on the car-buying experience.

In the heart of South Jakarta’s busiest shopping hub, BAIC Indonesia has officially opened its first-ever City Store in the capital. Located within Gandaria City Mall, this new showroom marks a strategic move for the Chinese automotive brand to connect with urban drivers—right where the traffic flows, both on foot and on wheels.

BAIC City Store Gandaria City is operated under the experienced hand of PT JHL Auto. This key partner has already managed two other BAIC dealerships in Alam Sutera and Gading Serpong. With over 13 years in the industry, JHL Auto brings its local know-how to the new store, which spans 112 square metres and offers a glimpse into the brand’s growing momentum in Indonesia.

The store is positioned for exposure and authentic engagement within a retail destination that welcomes around 100,000 visitors daily. The space houses two display units, the BJ40 Plus and X55 II, alongside a comfortable lounge, merchandise area, and interactive zones like mini games and a photo booth. To further bridge the digital and physical experience, brochures and pricing details are accessible via QR codes. Six trained sales staff members also assist visitors and conduct live-streamed consultations.

Johnnathan Salim, Director of PT JHL Auto, noted that the store aims to create a lively automotive experience for today’s consumer. It includes special financing options with down payments from 15% and 0% interest. During the launch period, early buyers also stand a chance to win complimentary stays at JHL Collection hotels.

Beyond sales, the City Store highlights BAIC’s long-term service commitment. New owners benefit from four years or 80,000 kilometres of free service, plus a five-year product warranty. Emergency Roadside Assistance will also be available for five years, covering towing, fuel delivery, tyre help and even ambulance service when needed.

Looking ahead, BAIC plans to expand its national footprint to 25 dealers by the end of 2025—further establishing its presence from Java to Sulawesi. For Jakarta residents, the Gandaria City store signals the brand’s growing focus on accessibility, innovation, and urban relevance.
