Biku

Quirky decor and stylish dining loved by kids and adults alike.

One of the most popular places for a meal in Bali is the renowned Biku, which not only serves a vast range of delicious food and drinks throughout the day until late evening but is found in a beautiful, 150-year old wooden joglo from Java with a fabulously quirky decor.

Biku has a surprisingly complete range of Western and Indonesian food on offer, from breakfasts right through to hearty dinners, as well as a highly popular selection of cupcakes and cakes by the slice.

Children’s high tea set

Unsurprisingly, Biku also caters to children, serving child-friendly portions of fried rice, satay, sausage and mash, pasta and fish and chips, as well as sandwiches and cupcakes.

The pièce de résistance for both adults and kids, however, are the high teas. These come in Asian, Western, breakfast and kid’s varieties and fly out of the kitchen from morning until evening.

The children’s high tea set is served on a beautiful china tiered plate, just like the adult version, and is laden with scones, jam and cream, cupcakes, peanut butter and ham finger sandwiches and fairy bread, accompanied by fruit juice or children’s tea. The brightly coloured icing, rainbow sprinkles on the fairy bread and little gingerbread men bring delighted gasps and are quickly devoured. Biku also provides colouring books, toys and board games to keep the kids occupied so that mum and dad can enjoy their own meal too.
