Celebrating Creativity at Art Jakarta Gardens 2025

Art Jakarta Gardens 2025 once again brought contemporary art to the heart of the city. Held at Hutan Kota by Plataran, the event integrated artworks with open-air environment, offering a refreshing way to experience creativity beyond the confines of traditional gallery spaces.

Building on its steady growth, the fourth edition featured 25 galleries from across Indonesia. The exhibition was officially opened by Minister of Culture Fadli Zon and other notable figures, reflecting a shared commitment to supporting the visual arts community.

One of the main attractions was the Sculpture Garden, inviting visitors to wander through artworks displayed among the greenery. Notable pieces included Sit on the Bench by King Saladeen, Emotional Safeguard by Agung and Sekar Puti, and Rooster by Yunizar, all of which drew significant attention due to their thoughtful integration within the landscape.

Special presentations brought an extra layer to the experience, highlighting various collaborative works. Bibit partnered with Abenk Alter to present an interactive piece titled Flower for the Future, while Treasury showcased Golden Age by Arkiv Vilmansa. As the Lead Partner, BCA introduced myBCA Space, a playful installation that played with light and shadow.

Beyond visual art, visitors could also experience installations from iForte, Yayasan RMHC, TACO and LUAR, each offering different perspectives through technology, design and social themes. A vibrant music and performance programme completed the event, featuring performances by FLOAT, Sal Priadi, Reda Gaudiamo and R E M, alongside a contemporary performance by Prehistoric Body Theater. Together, they created a lively celebration of art in the city.
