Cinta Laura Kiehl – Bold, Brainy & Unapologetic

From Hollywood sets to grassroots education work in Indonesia,
Cinta Laura Kiehl is redefining what it means to be a modern multi-hyphenate.

Q: You’ve worn many hats, from acting and singing to being a strong voice for women. What drives your passion across all these roles?
A:
It’s all rooted in purpose. Whether I’m creating art, running a business, or advocating for women and youth, I’m fuelled by the belief that real power comes from empowering others. Every “hat” I wear is just another way I aim to make a positive impact.

Q: What’s been one of those “this is why I do what I do” moments?
A:
Visiting schools rebuilt by my foundation, Soekarseno Peduli, in rural Indonesia. Watching children talk about their dreams with so much hope honestly moved me to tears. These schools are more than just buildings, they’re symbols of breaking the cycle of poverty. That’s when I truly feel I’m doing something meaningful.

Q: If your career were a fashion item, what would it be?
A:
A bold leather jacket; timeless, strong and a little bit edgy. It’s all about resilience and reinvention, which perfectly mirrors my journey so far.

Q: What has been your most “pinch me” moment in your career so far?
A:
Walking the red carpet at Cannes or Paris Fashion Week. Being surrounded by women I’ve admired forever and representing Indonesia on that stage? Absolutely surreal. It reminds me that hard work and relentless self-belief really do pay off.

Q: Let’s talk about power dressing. What’s your go-to outfit when you need to feel unstoppable?
A:
A sharply tailored blazer, high-waisted trousers and bold heels. It’s polished, powerful and gives me the confidence to walk into any room and own it.

Q: Let’s play “Truth or Trend”! What fashion trend do you secretly not like?
A:
Ultra-low-rise jeans. Sorry, not sorry, but they’re just not it. They’re uncomfortable and rarely flattering. I’m all about fashion that feels empowering, not restricting.

Q: What’s one thing people always assume about you that isn’t true?
A: That I’m immune to criticism because I come off strong. The truth is, I’m super sensitive. I’ve just learned to turn criticism into fuel. But yeah, it’s definitely a work in progress.

Q: You’re stranded on a desert island (but still fashion-forward). What three items would you bring?
A:
Oversized sunglasses–chic and practical. A nourishing SPF because, hello, skincare always. And a bright silk scarf. It’s the ultimate multi-tasker: top, headscarf, beach wrap–done.

Q: Lastly, what would you tell baby Cinta standing nervously at her first audition?
A:
Breathe, stand tall and know you are enough. Forget perfection. Your authenticity is your power. The world doesn’t need another copy-paste version of anyone else, it needs you. Embrace the weird, the bold, the unexpected. That’s your magic.
