Q: How would you describe your responsibilities?
A: I oversee brand standards across all Dijiwa Sanctuaries properties. That includes developing marketing plans for new hotel projects, driving strategies to increase brand awareness, and working closely with the digital marketing team on both strategic and performance-driven initiatives.
Q: What does a typical day look like?
A: No two days are the same. My mornings often begin with team check-ins to align on goals and share updates. From there, my day is filled with meetings, creative brainstorming sessions and performance reviews. The pace can be hectic, but I enjoy it and feel fortunate to collaborate with such a talented team across our different locations.
Q: What’s the toughest part of your job?
A: Striking the right balance between consistency and innovation. Marketing is full of exciting trends, but not every new idea fits our brand values. I’ve learned that the best results come from making thoughtful decisions; choosing what truly reflects the spirit of Dijiwa rather than chasing every new thing. It’s about staying authentic while still evolving with our guests’ expectations.
Q: What do you find most satisfying about your work?
A: It’s incredibly rewarding when our marketing efforts help people connect with what Dijiwa stands for. When someone chooses to stay with us because something in our messaging spoke to them, and then they have an amazing experience thanks to our operational teams, that’s when it all feels worth it.
Q: What or who has influenced you the most throughout your career?
A: Without a doubt, Suwamana Wahyu Putra, our CEO. He’s been an incredible mentor, someone who leads with both heart and vision. He has this amazing ability to see potential in people before they even recognise it in themselves. He’s pushed me beyond my comfort zone in the most supportive and empowering way, and I’ve grown tremendously because of him.
Q: If you hadn’t become a marketing communications director, what career path would you have chosen?
A: Don’t laugh, but probably a personal trainer! A few years ago, I got serious about fitness, and it really transformed my life.
Q: What makes your properties different from others?
A: Each of our properties has its own character, but what unites them is a deep connection to local culture, community and wellness. At Dijiwa, we’re passionate about creating experiences that are both personal and rooted in place. Our tagline says it all: “Wherever you go, stay with us – Dijiwa in every soul”. We’re not just offering a place to stay, we’re creating soulful experiences that linger long after the trip ends.
