Q: What does a typical day look like for you as the General Manager of beachwalk Shopping Center?
A: My day involves aligning teams, curating guest experiences, and collaborating with tenants and partners. Every day is different, focusing on operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Q: What has been the most rewarding project you’ve worked on recently?
A: Developing Beachwalk Kuta Fest into an annual event for the third time this year has been rewarding. The festival celebrates the convergence of surfing, music, unique experiences, creativity, fashion and other engaging elements.
Q: As a leader, how do you inspire your team, especially during challenging times?
A: I inspire my team by empowering them to take ownership, fostering open communication and recognising their contributions. I believe in leading by example and creating a supportive environment where everyone feels valued and motivated to achieve common goals.
Q: What role does sustainability play at the beachwalk Shopping Center under your leadership?
A: Sustainability is at the core of beachwalk’s operations. We integrate Balinese culture by preserving local traditions and promoting eco-friendly practices. Our focus includes effective waste management and advocating the principles of reuse, reduction and recycling, ensuring a minimal environmental footprint while enhancing the visitor experience.
Q: What has your professional journey taught you about the luxury lifestyle industry in Asia?
A: My journey has taught me that the luxury lifestyle industry in Asia is a dynamic blend of tradition and innovation. Success comes from understanding diverse customer expectations, embracing digital transformation and emphasising authentic experiences that resonate deeply with guests.
Q: How do you personally unwind or find balance amid such a high-paced role?
A: Pilates and padel are my go-to activities for unwinding, along with enjoying cherished moments with my family.
Q: What’s one lesson or philosophy you live by that keeps you grounded?
A: I believe in embracing change and consistently striving for excellence, knowing that resilience and continuous effort are key to sustained success.
Q: What advice would you give young professionals, especially women, aspiring to have leadership roles in hospitality?
A: My advice is to stay adaptable and creative while keeping an eye on emerging trends. Prioritise your wellbeing by incorporating regular physical activity, and remember that finding a balance between work and life is crucial for long-term success.
