Jakarta Lights Up the Runway with the Vibrant Launch of RONAKULTURA

Jakarta has officially kicked off its most creative event yet. The city’s fashion elite gathered for a dazzling evening at Menara Imperium to launch RONAKULTURA, an exciting campaign for BTN Indonesia Fashion Week 2025.

The name RONAKULTURA combines Ronak (meaning lively) and Kultura (meaning culture) to embody the very essence of Jakarta: energetic, expressive and unapologetically stylish. The event brought this vibrant spirit to life, setting the tone for what promises to be the most dynamic edition of BTN Indonesia Fashion Week, that took place from 28 May to 1 June 2025, at the Jakarta Convention Center.

The evening was not just about glitz; it was a celebration of identity and innovation. The venue was filled with fashion powerhouses, government leaders and creative visionaries. Notable attendees included Poppy Dharsono, President of BTN Indonesia Fashion Week and Chair of APPMI; Andhika Permata, Head of Jakarta’s Tourism and Creative Economy Agency; and Yuke Sri Rahayu from the Ministry of Creative Economy. Their message was clear: Jakarta is not just a fashion capital; it is a creative force to be reckoned with on the global stage.

Building on last year’s focus on Betawi heritage, this year’s campaign broadens its vision, showcasing Jakarta as a modern, multicultural metropolis where tradition and trend coexist harmoniously. Guests enjoyed the premiere screening of the RONAKULTURA campaign film, a lively panel discussion and the reveal of this year’s IFW Icons: Jindan, Kayla, Reuben, Vebby, Dwiki and Sophia, a dynamic group poised to represent the heart and soul of Jakarta’s fashion future.

With over 200 designers, an action-packed schedule of runway shows, exhibitions and thought-provoking discussions, BTN Indonesia Fashion Week 2025 is shaping up to be the fashion event of the year. With RONAKULTURA leading the way, Jakarta is more than ready to shine.
