At JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa, a new kind of family holiday is taking shape, one that blends discovery, creativity, and connection with the natural rhythms of southern Thailand. With the launch of Family by JW Club, the resort introduces an immersive, nature-led programme designed to inspire young minds while bringing families closer together.
Created for children aged four to 12, alongside dedicated spaces for toddlers and teenagers, the experience reimagines the traditional kids’ club. Here, learning unfolds through play, storytelling, and hands-on exploration. Mornings might begin with harvesting herbs and vegetables from the resort’s expansive 27-acre JW Garden, where children are introduced to the origins of food, composting and mindful living. Cooking sessions and market-style activities transform local ingredients into engaging lessons, while art, music, and movement encourage self-expression.
Nature plays a central role throughout. Guided eco-experiences, jungle-inspired adventures, and ocean storytelling gently introduce sustainability and environmental awareness in a way that feels intuitive and joyful rather than instructional.
Thoughtfully designed by Khun Vattanaporn Tungsanga and his team at Leka Studio, the space reflects the landscapes of Phang Nga. Children move through zones inspired by jungle trails, forest camps and coastal villages, with treehouses, climbing structures, and role-play environments fostering imagination and exploration. Calmer corners and soft-play areas ensure every age group feels at ease.
For parents and grandparents, the concept offers something equally valuable: time to reconnect, knowing children are engaged in meaningful, supervised activities. Families are also encouraged to participate together, turning simple moments into lasting memories.
With the upcoming launch of RETROVERSE Teens Club, the resort will further expand its family offering. For now, Family by JW Club sets the tone, inviting families to slow down, explore deeply and rediscover the joy of travelling together.
