An intimate morning of reflection, storytelling, and self-discovery unfolded at Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali.
In a world that often feels relentless, the recent Katha Bercerita: Finding Yourself in the Chaos of Adult Life offered a gentle reminder to pause, breathe, and reconnect with oneself. Held on Sunday, 5 October 2025, at Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali, the event brought together readers, creatives, and travellers for a morning of meaningful reflection, conversation, and connection.
Part of the Road to Ubud Writers & Readers Festival (UWRF) series, the session was organised in collaboration with Shelf Therapy, bringing the festival’s literary spirit beyond Ubud into the heart of Jimbaran. The resort’s Katha Lobby Lounge & Library provided the perfect backdrop with the scent of coffee and books.
The highlight of the morning was the discussion led by Nago Tejena, psychologist and author of Aku yang Sudah Lama Hilang. Through his stories and reflections, Nago invited participants to explore the challenges of adult life, encouraging them to listen to their emotions and rediscover balance amid the noise of modern living.
Guided by Laksmi Mutiara, a digital creator and passionate literacy advocate, the session unfolded as a heartfelt dialogue rather than a lecture. Guests shared thoughts, laughter, and quiet moments of understanding, creating a genuine sense of community among strangers.
More than just a book talk, Katha Bercerita became a space to slow down, connect, and find comfort in shared experiences. It was a morning that reminded everyone that amidst the chaos, there is always time to pause, reflect, and rediscover the self.
