A glamorous launch event in Bali unveiled the first-ever MONOPOLY: Bali Edition, with Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach proudly featured on the board, capturing the island’s essence.
The world’s most famous board game, MONOPOLY, just unveiled its new edition, MONOPOY: Bali Edition. Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach, a neighbourhood-inspired resort that celebrates the vibrant soul of Seminyak, was honoured to be featured as part of this special edition.
Crafted by Winning Moves under official licence from Hasbro, the MONOPOLY: Bali Edition is a love letter to the island’s natural splendour, cultural landmarks and must-visit destinations. This beautifully reimagined version of MONOPOLY invites players to journey through some of Bali’s most beloved destinations.
From the emerald rice terraces of Jatiluwih and the spiritual grandeur of Tirta Empul, to the majestic silhouette of Mount Batur and the clifftop serenity of Uluwatu Temple, each square captures a piece of Bali’s unique magic. Players can now buy, sell and trade iconic locales including Garuda Wisnu Kencana, the Ayung River, Sanur Beach, and even land on Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach, reimagined with a signature Balinese twist.
The grand launch event was a joyous tribute to Balinese heritage, beginning with an electrifying Kecak dance performance featuring the legendary Hanoman. Guests were then treated to heartfelt speeches from representatives of Indonesia Tourism, Bali Tourism, Winning Moves, and Jesus Gisbert, COO of Maya Resorts Ubud. The evening reached its crescendo with the unveiling of a life-size MONOPOLY board and a memorable appearance by the dapper Mr. Monopoly himself, charming guests and mingling with VIPs.
Beyond the celebration, MONOPOLY: Bali Edition also champions a meaningful cause. Two Community Chest spaces on the board honour the work of Bali Life Foundation and Sungai Watch, two remarkable non-profit organisations working to uplift local communities. Bali Life provides shelter and education for underprivileged children, while Sungai Watch is at the forefront of tackling plastic pollution across Bali’s waterways, hosting regular clean-ups and awareness campaigns.
