Witness The Debut of Paradisus by Meliá Bali in Nusa Dua

Paradisus by Meliá BaliThe ever-evolving enclave of Balinese tropical luxury, Nusa Dua, welcomes a new face to its elite collection of resorts: Paradisus by Meliá Bali, the Spanish luxury brand’s first Asian property.

With golden sands that spill onto an expanse of frothy blues fringed by swaying palm fronds, Nusa Dua has become a destination in and of itself. This enclave has long been one of Bali’s most luxurious allures, drawing high-profile guests, global diplomatic convenings, and esteemed hotel chains. Meliá is one, having chosen this southern coast as its first international outpost in 1985. Today, this historic site is once again witnessing another debut from the Spanish hotel chain, which has refurbished the sprawling grounds of Meliá Bali to make way for Paradisus by Meliá Bali, Asia’s first outpost for the five-star luxury brand, which opened 1 February 2026.

The brand’s Wellness Designed by Destination philosophy permeates every aspect of one’s stay here. From the mural painted on the lobby’s ceilings to architecture, interiors, and woven décor and furniture pieces that evoke Balinese design, thatched roofs and all, the island’s influence on the hotel can immediately be seen and felt. 492 luxury suites, including seven private garden villas, welcome travellers to a world of rustic tropicality.

An all-inclusive offer complements the experience, allowing guests to take advantage of the resort’s dining destinations, daily snacks by the four glittering pools, 24-hour room service, and a mini bar. Taking it a step further is the Destination Inclusive® programme, a signature of Paradisus that invites travellers to immerse themselves in the local culture. Here in Bali, it manifests itself in a curated excursion that includes the Devdan Show at Bali Nusa Dua Theatre and spiritual activities in nearby villages, like Belulang near Mount Batukaru. Don’t feel like leaving the resort premises? Cultural experiences are also plentiful in-house with activities from Lontar writing to Balinese dance classes and Janur crafting for little ones.

For older guests, The Reserve offers an adult-only retreat, complete with its own exclusive restaurant, private beach and pool areas, and personalised concierge services, whether for excursions or arrivals and departures. There’s also the YHI Spa, where 12 treatment rooms, a circuit pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, and relaxation areas open a world of unwind to those looking to relax among lush gardens. Teenagers can also have fun at the Teens Club with activities and entertainment options designed for ages 13-18. Still, for shared moments with the whole family, there are amenities that can be enjoyed by all ages, such as the Aquazone water park and slides, a karaoke room, wellness and sports activities (including yoga, sound baths, padel, basketball, and more), and water-based activities.

No resort experience is complete without its dining destination, and Paradisus by Meliá Bali offers eight. While Santé’s is chartered for guests of The Reserve, everyone else can enjoy international fare all day at Malva’s garden setup. Jetset across the globe with distinct flavours: Peseta serves traditional Spanish recipes, Kanna Beach Restaurant offers South American cuisine against a picturesque backdrop, Samira translates tales of the Arabian Nights into scrumptious Middle Eastern dishes, Tokimeku showcases authentic Japanese food, and ARUM pairs reverence for local Indonesian cuisine with Balinese cultural performances. For idle mornings, a pit stop at Kopi Petani makes for a great caffeine boost. As the day settles, The Shack, The Mixton Bar, and The Deck Beach Bar offer more ways than one to ease into the island rhythm.
