Wulan Guritno opens up about the inner journey behind her confidence, revealing the insecurities she once struggled to accept. Her story shows how embracing her own imperfections helped her grow into a woman of strength and clarity.
Q: Over the years, your sense of style has consistently evolved while remaining authentic. How would you describe the journey of finding your true fashion identity?
A: Honestly, my sense of fashion evolves naturally, even as I’ve grown older. I’ve never been the type to follow trends. I just focus on what suits me and what feels comfortable, and that’s how I express who I am.
Q: Many see you as a symbol of timeless beauty and confidence. What inner growth or experiences have shaped the woman you are now?
A: Being seen as a symbol of beauty and confidence is something I’m grateful for, especially if it inspires others. But reaching that point has taken time and inner work. Like anyone else, I have insecurities. My skin isn’t as smooth as many women’s, and I’ve spent years dealing with acne and the scars it left behind. But thanks to ZAP Premiere and the treatments I’ve committed to, the journey feels lighter now. Its approach has helped me understand my skin better, not just cover the issues. Consistent care, proper guidance and visible results have made a real difference.
Q: How do you interpret the connection between beauty, self-acceptance and emotional maturity?
A: The way I see it, they are intrinsically linked. Reaching this point of confidence, where I have finally conquered my insecurities, is entirely down to the relationship between accepting myself and emotional growth. In the past, a lack of self-acceptance led me to constantly compare myself with others. That insecurity eroded my confidence; I lost focus and allowed external influences to weigh heavily on my mind. However, once you embrace self-acceptance and cultivate emotional maturity, you’ll find you have the resilience to handle those challenges effectively.
Q: In an age where trends shift rapidly, how do you maintain individuality and purpose in your fashion choices?
A: By focusing on what feels right for me. I prefer to curate my own look through mixing and matching rather than letting trends dictate what I wear. Even with the constant evolution of fashion in our industry, I prioritise comfort and authenticity above all else.
