Mama Shelter has officially opened in Singapore, extending its unique hospitality and character to Asia for the first time. Located on Killiney Road in the vibrant Somerset district, this 115-room hotel reflects the city’s dynamic energy while incorporating the brand’s signature style and culture. As part of Ennismore’s global lifestyle collective under Accor, Mama Shelter originated in Paris and has since expanded to encompass 20 cities, with Singapore now joining this diverse family.
More than just a hotel, Mama Shelter Singapore offers a space for living, dining and socialising. Upon entering, guests are greeted by an open-plan lobby, restaurant and island bar, all buzzing with conversation and activity. The environment features pet-friendly tables, an arcade, board games and a stage for live performances, creating a welcoming space for both locals and visitors at all hours. Entertainment plays a significant role here, featuring everything from rooftop cocktails and family brunches to late-night DJ sets and surprise events.
Designed by Dion & Arles, the interiors pay homage to Singapore’s multicultural identity through the use of neon lights, murals, Peranakan tiles and vibrant patterns. The dining experience is highlighted by soulful brasserie cuisine from Chef Eugene Chan at Mama Restaurant and Island Bar, as well as the tropical, Mediterranean-inspired menu at Mama Rooftop Bar & Restaurant, each venue ideal for enjoying good food and connection with others.
