SO/ Bangkok announces the appointment of Adrien Marie as its new general manager, bringing with him over 12 years of international experience in the luxury hospitality sector. With a career that spans acclaimed properties in Indonesia, Vietnam, China and France, Adrien steps into his new role with a strong foundation in leadership, innovation and guest experience.
Before joining SO/ Bangkok, Adrien served as General Manager at Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali, where he played a key role in the resort’s successful post-pandemic reopening. He also led the property through globally significant events such as the G20 Summit and the Global Tourism Forum. His previous roles include General Manager at Amarterra Villas Bali Nusa Dua – MGallery Collection and Executive Assistant Manager at Hotel de l’Opera Hanoi – MGallery Collection. Throughout his career, Adrien has been recognised for improving operational performance, championing sustainability initiatives, and leading high-performing teams to consistent growth in guest satisfaction and revenue.
An INSEEC Business School Paris graduate and alumnus of Accor’s International Hospitality Management Programme (IHMP), Adrien is known for his people-first leadership and commitment to delivering memorable guest experiences. Reflecting on his appointment, he shared, “Having spent much of my career in Asia, this region has become home to me. I look forward to working with the talented team at SO/ Bangkok and building on the hotel’s legacy of style and innovation.”
Adrien takes the helm at a pivotal time as SO/ Bangkok embarks on the transformation of its rooftop venue on the 29th floor, a project set to reimagine the city’s social scene and further define the hotel’s creative edge.
