Q: What inspired you to lead iNi ViE Hospitality, and how do you see yourself shaping its future?

A: iNi ViE Hospitality and The Wonderspace are based in Bali, but our dream is to expand across Indonesia and, eventually, internationally. Over the next decade, we hope to grow into a global hospitality group with resorts, villas, restaurants, and beach clubs. Our focus now is on national expansion and destinations such as Labuan Bajo, Sumba, Lombok, and the Gili Islands will be among our next openings.

Q: How do you balance staying true to Balinese culture while introducing fresh, modern concepts?

A: As a Bali-based company, local culture always guides us. However, the hospitality industry is competitive, so innovation is just as important. We blend cultural inspiration with new ideas to stay relevant while keeping our Balinese identity at the core of everything we do.

Q: What kind of guest experiences best capture the spirit of iNi ViE?

A: We focus on creating romantic and memorable experiences. Guests love our motorised projector and Netflix setup, or the couple’s floating sound healing session by the pool, something truly unique. We also offer holistic couples’ spa treatments to complete the experience.

Q: How does combining hospitality and design enhance guest satisfaction?

A: Most of our properties are designed in-house by our creative team. We always ask, “What has never been done before?” For example, at Seascape, we experimented with new colours and romantic design elements to make it feel fresh and distinctive. Every few years, we also refresh our properties to keep experiences exciting and new.

Q: Tell us more about your new WEINIVIE membership programme.

A: We launched WEINIVIE this year to reward our loyal guests who’ve supported us over the past 12 years. Members can earn and redeem points across our hotels, restaurants, spas and day clubs. It’s our way of saying thank you and creating a more connected guest experience.

Q: What’s next for iNi ViE’s growth?

A: After opening more than 80 brands in Bali, our next step is national expansion. Once we establish a strong presence across Indonesia, we aim to take iNi ViE Hospitality international and bring our signature style to global destinations.

Q: How would you describe your leadership style?

A: I believe in leading by example. I still wear the same uniform as my team and start each day at 7am. We have a morning gathering to share updates, lessons and motivation. It builds a sense of family. My leadership is based on innovation, adaptability and close monitoring to ensure ideas turn into real action.

Q: Where do you see Bali’s boutique hospitality in five years, and how will iNi ViE stay ahead?

A: Bali will always be known for its romantic, boutique experiences, and we’ll continue to embrace that. Our goal is to take these experiences beyond Bali, to other beautiful Indonesian destinations, while keeping creativity and authenticity at the heart of everything we do.
