Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts will debut in the Maldives with Bvlgari Resort Ranfushi, a 54-key private island retreat on Raa Atoll.
Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts has announced plans to open Bvlgari Resort Ranfushi in 2026, marking the brand’s debut in the Maldives and becoming the tenth property in its global portfolio. Located on Raa Atoll, the resort will occupy a 20-hectare island surrounded by clear waters and natural vegetation, offering a private and low-density hospitality concept in one of the country’s less developed regions.
As with all Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts properties, the resort’s design will be led by Italian architecture firm ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel. The project will follow strict sustainability standards across construction, operations, and guest experience, featuring 54 accommodations that include an exclusive Bvlgari Villa set on its own private island, 33 beach villas with private swimming pools, and 20 overwater villas positioned above the lagoon.
Dining will be a central part of the resort experience, with four signature culinary venues. These include Il Ristorante – Niko Romito, offering contemporary Italian cuisine; Bao Li Xuan, the brand’s Chinese fine dining concept; Hōseki, a Japanese restaurant focused on precision and seasonality; and La Spiaggia, a relaxed beachside dining venue. Together, the restaurants reflect Bvlgari’s international dining identity while adapting to a resort setting.
The resort will also house several core Bvlgari destinations, including The Bvlgari Bar, The Bvlgari Spa, a Bvlgari boutique, and La Galleria, creating a complete lifestyle environment within the island. Wellness, retail, and social spaces are designed to complement the private villa experience rather than compete with it. With Bvlgari Resort Ranfushi, the brand extends its urban and resort presence into the Indian Ocean, offering a destination that combines architectural clarity, luxury, and comfort.
