After successful leadership positions and spearheading hotel openings across the world, Jean-Philippe De Haes returns to Belgium as General Manager of Mövenpick Brussels Airport.
Jean-Philippe De Haes contains multitudes. After a globetrotting journey through various properties under the Marriott and Hilton brands across the United States, Europe, and Southeast Asia, he is once again returning to his home base in Belgium as he joins Mövenpick Brussels Airport as General Manager under the direction of Belgian Coast & City Hotels.
Prior to his appointment in November 2025, De Haes has claimed the same title in multiple locations, such as Hilton Garden Inn airport outposts in Bali and Brussels as well as Thailand’s DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit, spearheading the opening of the three hotels. It’s a long way from his humble beginnings in 2001, when his hospitality career began with his role as receptionist at Marriott’s Renaissance Hotels Brussels. Within those 25 years, his experience was shaped by roles in finance, operations, and commercial leadership.
“Jean-Philippe’s international expertise, operational strength, and people-focused leadership are an excellent fit for our mission to support hotels so they can fully focus on exceptional guest hospitality,” shared Chavalie De Lodder, CEO of Belgian Coast & City Hotels.
