The Apurva Kempinski Bali Launches the Spice Route Voyage

The Apurva Kempinski Bali has partnered with Yacht Sourcing to launch Spice Route Voyage, a seven-day luxury journey inspired by Indonesia’s ancient maritime spice trade. Part of the resort’s 2026 campaign Powerful Indonesia: Spice Route Legacy, the inaugural sailings are set to begin in April 2026.

Guests will spend five days aboard a traditional phinisi schooner, sailing through historic waters once travelled by spice merchants. Curated routes explore remarkable destinations such as North Maluku, home to the famed clove islands of Ternate and Tidore, as well as the historic Banda Islands.

Following the voyage, guests return to Bali for a two-night stay at the Nusantara Presidential Villa at The Apurva Kempinski Bali, where the journey continues with curated experiences including a Majapahit-inspired dinner, afternoon tea, a cocktail session at L’Atelier by Cyril Kongo, and a treatment at Apurva Spa.
