Continuing their efforts to uplift grassroots communities and local culture, Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach partnered with Asian Surf Performance Academy (ASPA) for Surf Day out.
With Bali’s monsoon season subsiding, travellers and residents alike can expect brighter days ahead. The sun and clear skies once again beckon watersport enthusiasts to the island’s famed beaches and oceans. Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach is taking full advantage of this turning tide of the friendly weather. In partnership with Asian Surf Performance Academy (ASPA), Surf Day Out invites guests to get acquainted with Seminyak’s waves in a relaxed setting on Saturday, 11 April 2026.
The day begins early with ASPA Surf Training, where expert professionals from the organisation lead a group coaching session on surfing for local youth and following shortly after is an interactive Ocean Talk & Community Hangout with Bali Ocean Week. At the heart of the programme are conversations about reducing plastic use to encourage surfers to preserve Bali’s marine biodiversity.
Throughout the event, attendees can also visit the Board Drive for Rural Surfers, a charity collection station powered by Ombak 4 Hope. Visitors can donate leashes to be refurbished before being distributed to underprivileged surfers in remote Indonesian villages. These efforts are extensions of the resort’s Neighborhood Story philosophy, which spotlights the local culture, character, and history of Seminyak, bridging the gap between itself, the grassroots community, and environmental work.
