Chief Operating Officer of Ennismore, Asia Pacific, Sylvain Pasdeloup, shares some perspectives behind the region’s growing allure and penchant for lifestyle hospitality.
Today’s luxury travel is no longer shaped by crystallised elegance or clinical sophistication alone. Much of the appeal of modern hospitality lies in its intersection with lifestyle: integration with local culture, stylish designs, and an all-around experiential approach. That’s why the Asia Pacific region has been garnering momentum in visitor traffic.
Accor, for example, noted Southeast Asia as one of the group’s strongest growths, particularly in Thailand, Singapore, and Indonesia. It’s why Ennismore, the lifestyle-driven subsidiary of the French company, continues to widen its reach in Asia, announcing more than 35 openings and several developments in the region.

Among the most outstanding is Hyde Suites Seminyak Bali, marking the brand’s debut in Indonesia. It is slated to bring its bohemian design and music-driven ethos to the eclectic neighbourhood in 2027, following the latest address in Perth. Other highly anticipated openings include Mondrian Maldives, offering immersive luxury, wellness, and experience-driven hospitality over the glittering Indian Ocean, as well as Rixos Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam, designed for integrated leisure and family resorts.
These key destinations highlight a growing interest in Asia Pacific as a multifaceted destination, presenting itself as a chance to spotlight the region’s diversity, beauty, and unparalleled allure. Chief Operating Officer of Ennismore, Asia Pacific, Sylvain Pasdeloup, emphasised that “The best results often come from understanding local energy, staying adaptable, and building with a long term perspective.”
