A community-driven charity run at ITDC Nusa Dua united Bali’s hospitality sector, corporate partners and more than 1,400 participants to support education and opportunity for underprivileged children through Accor’s ATFAC initiative.
Accor Run for Hope 2026 brought together Bali’s hospitality community, corporate partners and local residents for a meaningful day of fundraising and community engagement at ITDC Nusa Dua on 31 May. The inaugural charity run attracted more than 1,400 participants, all supporting a shared mission to expand educational opportunities for underprivileged children through A Trust For A Child (ATFAC).
Established by Accor in Indonesia in 2001 and managed by Yayasan Peduli Tunas Bangsa, ATFAC provides after-school learning programmes, nutritious meals, sports activities and social support for children and families in need. The organisation currently operates learning centres in East Jakarta and Bedugul, Bali, helping young people access resources that foster both academic and personal development.
Designed as an inclusive event, the programme centred on a 5km Fun Run that welcomed participants of all ages and fitness levels. The atmosphere extended well beyond the race itself, with family-friendly activities including children’s entertainment, creative workshops, live performances, costume competitions, fundraising raffles and community engagement booths.
Supported by partners including ITDC, Diversey, Accor Vacation Club, BCA and Icon Cancer Center, the initiative generated funds for ATFAC’s Bedugul learning centre, contributing to programmes focused on education, creativity and essential support services.
The event also highlighted the growing role of hospitality in driving positive social impact. By bringing together tourism, wellness and philanthropy in one dynamic gathering, Accor Run for Hope demonstrated how collective action can create meaningful opportunities for future generations while strengthening community connections across Bali. The success of the inaugural event established a promising foundation for future editions of this charitable initiative.
