InterContinental Bandung Dago Pakar marks Halloween with a themed dinner at Damai Restaurant and a stay package with a mischievous streak. Couples can keep things intimate, while families can let the children dress the part.
Halloween is said to trace back to Samhain, an ancient Celtic festival marking the end of the harvest, when the line between this world and the next was thought to grow thin. Centuries later, the tradition has found an unlikely new home in the cool highlands north of Bandung. This October, InterContinental Bandung Dago Pakar marks the occasion with two spirited offers, one for the dinner table and one for those who would rather stay the night.
The evening begins at Damai Restaurant with The Haunted Tables. Running on 30 and 31 October from 6pm to 10pm, the themed dinner trades the usual hotel dining room for something more mysterious, with the festive season adding a touch of charm to the shadows. It suits a lively night out with friends just as well as a quieter dinner for two.
For guests who are not ready for the fun to end at dessert, Make Your Stay a Little More Wicked carries the spirit through to the morning. Available for stays from 30 October to 1 November, the package is designed for couples and families, with two ways to settle in. From dinner to breakfast, the Halloween mood never has to leave the building.
The Premium Golf View Room, with views across the greens, is the more intimate choice. It includes The Haunted Tables dinner for two at Damai Restaurant, with Club Lounge access and breakfast. A late check-out at 2pm means there is no need to rush the morning after.
Families and larger groups may prefer Kembang Villa, its name taken from the Indonesian word for flower. Here the mood turns playful, with interiors styled after the famously spooky Addams Family. The package covers The Haunted Tables dinner for four, plus Club Lounge access and breakfast. Younger guests receive their own costume kits, and a face-painting session is arranged especially for them, so the little ones can arrive at dinner already in character. Grown-ups, meanwhile, can lean into the theme as much or as little as they like. Check-out is extended to 2pm here too.
Halloween at Dago Pakar is less about fright than about time well spent with the people closest to you. The costumes and themed tables set the scene, but the real treat is a long weekend in the hills. Come the first of November, the only thing guests will be haunted by is the wish to come back.
